For those of you desperate to know of my progress I can tell you that we made it, all 182 miles on foot. There are issues with the travel agent and I can write no more until I have worked out what to say without being libelous.

The Thames Path provides a nice 3 week diversion for people who have the time to spare for a continuous trip, we met some on the way who are doing it in easy stages, one man was half way and had been 2 years getting there, one couple had left Dartford, some 15 miles east of London and had only 2 days left, our trip was from Source to The Thames Barrier (a flood prection scheme) which was enough for an elderly man and his companion some 20 years younger. We could have gone further but the Barrier provides a good place to stop.
